PITSTOP: how to use it
PANCERX PITSTOP goes into a tubeless tyre before you get a puncture, not after. It sits inside as a liquid and waits. The whole job takes a few minutes per wheel and needs no special tools.
What you need
- A bottle of PITSTOP and the dose for your tyre size (table below)
- A valve core tool, the small key that unscrews the pin inside the valve
- A compressor or a foot pump to inflate the tyre afterwards
Dose per wheel
Litres per wheel. Add up to 20 percent if the tyre takes punctures often. Sizes with a half-inch rim, such as 17.5 or 22.5, are commercial sizes and are not covered here.

Do not under-dose. Using less than the recommended amount may leave the product unable to seal, and it is grounds for rejecting a warranty claim.
Step by step
- Look up the dose for your tyre size.
- Let the air out of the tyre and unscrew the valve core.
- Pour the measured dose straight from the bottle through the valve stem. No pump or syringe is needed for the 1 litre bottle.
- Screw the valve core back in and inflate the tyre to its working pressure, the figure on the placard in the door frame or the fuel flap.
- Turn the wheel several full turns, or drive off gently, so the sealant spreads over the whole inner surface of the tread.
On a tyre changer
If the tyre is off the rim, pour the measured dose straight into it before fitting. This is the more precise method and it is faster in a workshop. Inflate and spin the wheel afterwards in the same way.
Where PITSTOP does not belong
- Tyres with a profile of 45 or lower. Balancing gets unpredictable and you may feel it in the steering wheel.
- Run-flat tyres.
- Tyres with a TPMS sensor on the valve can be harder to fill. We have seen no damage to sensors after a successful fill, but plan for the extra effort.
After it is in
PITSTOP stays liquid for the life of the tyre and keeps working after repeated punctures. It does not dry out, does not stick, and washes off with water, so it does not get in the way at the next tyre change. It seals punctures up to 12 mm in the tread area and lets you keep driving for up to 1000 km, but it is not a permanent repair: have the tyre looked at.
Doses are guide figures based on the manufacturer data sheet. Store the bottle at 5-30 °C, away from direct sunlight and frost, out of reach of children. The product is not classified as hazardous under Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
